To explain, amend and render more effectual an act passed in the 26th year of the reign of his majesty King George III entitled an act to establish the business of a pawnbroker, and to authorize such persons as shall be duly qualified to carry on the same to lend money on pawns or pledges, and to receive interest at a higher rate than heretofore was recoverable by law. |
